Where it begins.
Beraca Baptist Church was founded by the late Rev. Soinier Jean-Pierre, his wife Zilma and Pastor Lamartine St Juste on January 16, 1978 in his living room with his family and a few friends. After his death on May 7, 1985, Beraca Baptist Church went 15 years without a pastor. On April 9, 2000 under new leadership, The church began to experience healthy growth and grew from 80 members to over 1300 congregants in 8 years. With over 40 ministries and 6 services in 4 locations, Beraca became a Haitian-American church with approximately 20 different nationalities worshipping God every weekend. They are reaching and ministering to every member of the family in their church and the community. As a community minded ministry they created the Beraca Community Development Corporation to reach deeper into the community serving their local schools, police precinct, elected officials and government agencies. Our vision is to Exalt The Lord Educate our people and Empower them Evangelize and enrich our Community with the presence of Christ. God has since expanded Beraca’s ministry into a worldwide ministry serving in Haiti, Dominican Republic, the Bahamas, Africa and Estonia.
Our Journey
The ministry of Christianity is
the ministry of the Spirit. It is the Spirit of God that inhabits the words, that speaks to the spirit of another and reveals Christ in and through him. ~ John G. Lake
