The Sous Chef is the second-in-command in the kitchen, assisting the Head Chef.  The Sous Chef is responsible for the day-to-day culinary operations and his or her duties include menu creation, food purchasing, and maintenance of quality standards.  The Sous Chef assumes the role of cost controlling and maintaining food cost, and supervises storage, stocking, and sanitation procedures.  The Sous Chef assists in the management and training of new personnel, scheduling staff work hours, and doing performance reviews. $36k

Responsibilities include preparing food, managing food stations, cleaning the kitchen, and helping the chefs.  This individual will set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies, prepare food for service (which includes chopping vegetables, butchering meat, preparing sauces), cook items in cooperation with the chef’s directions, answer, report, and follow the chefs’ instructions.  He or she will also clean up stations, take care of leftover food, stock inventory appropriately, and ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and a timely fashion. $31k

This position is two-fold.
First, this individual will be responsible for ordering kitchen utensils and equipment based on our needs, managing contracts and payroll, and supervising restaurant staff performance.  To be successful in this role, he or she should be familiar with restaurant operations and have a good understanding of what makes great customer service.  He or she should also be available to work within opening hours, including weekends and holidays.   Ultimately, he or she will help minimize operating costs, boost our employee retention, and deliver a positive food experience for our guests.  Second, a key responsibility will be increasing our web presence by updating the restaurant’s website and social media sites.  He or she will keep track of both positive and negative feedback from customers on rating websites and uses social media tools such as Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter to directly engage with customers. $37k
