About Us
Welcome to the Lighting Ministry page of Beraca Baptist Church. Beraca Baptist Church Lighting Ministry engineers, we believe we serve a God who appreciates beauty – just looking around this planet show that. Bringing beatuy into to produce live performances, balancing and adjusting sound sources using equalization and audio effects, mixing, and reinforcement of sound. Not only we are responsible for the technical aspects of a live performance, we are also responsible for maintaining the physical sound equipment, like cables, mixers, microphones and many more.
One of the most effective ways in engineering sound is the ability to hear to listen and troubleshooting. It takes genuine practice and hands on to develop these skills. After all, as engineers, we represent the ear of the listeners. We are actively learning and participating in related audio engineering task. That means we are learning by doing not just watching. If one is motivated, committed and willing to do the work to serve, then the sound ministry will be a great experiencing place to be.

WHERE WE BEGIN
A sound engineer responsibilities include:
*Following instructions and details from directors leaders etc
*Punctuality is a must
*Setting up and testing light equipment before events, broadcasts or recordings
*Collaborate with lighting, camera and other people
*Create and maintain recording library
*Resolve technical issues when they arise
*A team player with great communication skill
*Replace used or unused equipment
LENGTH OF COMMITMENT
- We are very committed in serving our community and reaching every men and women in Christ Jesus.
- We ask for One Year commitment when joining the Ministry.
- If so desire to continue, it would be a plus not only to the lighting ministry but to broaden your experience to the art world.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT
To be part of the lighting ministry, we also have a “By-law” book that is written to enforce mandatory and appropriate standards.
We mostly meet on Fridays and Sundays and occasionally on Saturdays for training purposes. In addition, we also meet at times after services on Sundays to appropriately go over issues pertaining the ministry.
One of the most important requirements is to be a baptized member of Beraca Baptist Church.
A completion of a series of classes are also a must:
* Class 101 Knowing God
* Class 201 Growing in God
* Class 301 Serving God
* Class 401 Sharing God
As our Church is expanding, the lighting ministry is a great challenging adventurous place to consider to be part of. Whether one is experienced or not, God is seeking for soldiers like you.
