Social Justice Ministry
"Paradigm"

He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God.” ~Micah 6:8

Isaiah 1:17

Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed.[a]
Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow.

About Us

Welcome to the Social Justice Ministry page of Beraca Baptist Church. In the Bible, we find a blueprint of principles calling us to be visible, vocal, viable, and to forge on with vitality in our commitment to social responsibility. Paradigm is a ministry that examines and affects justice through a biblical lens. In the tradition of Beraca Baptist Church’s decades of humanitarian service, Paradigm will confront the issues of man and the issues of society with truth, love, and action. We will serve our spiritual community and both local and global communities in the areas of business and finance, the creative arts. education and civic engagement.

Education By connecting with educators, institutions and advocates, we will share resources and foster opportunities to close gaps of access and achievement for students of all ages.

Deacon Thierry Desrosiers

Business & Finance By interpreting trends in the business world and developing relationships with established entrepreneurs as well as startups, we will focus on leveraging opportunities for our communities to thrive.

Br. Schency Augustin

Civic Engagement By converging faith, urban planning, politics, and government into space where God has been an expert for years, we will cultivate burgeoning communities who recognize their intrinsic value.

Br. Ramon Ishman

Creative Arts By creating relevant, informative and compelling content, we will shed Christ's light on social justice through the performing arts.

For God to forgive sinners without the full penalty being paid would contradict His justice and make Him our partner in evil. Christ fully paid that penalty for our sins–but the pardon must be willingly and gladly received. God will not force anyone into heaven.
