Hello Beraca Family,
In regards to the coronavirus, it has been reported that the next couple of weeks will be critical for our city. The government and health experts believe that conditions will get worse during this period: the number of coronavirus cases is expected to rise, along with the death toll. Our prayers at this time are vital. As a result, Beraca Baptist Church is DECLARING AN ESTHER FAST AGAINST COVID-19.
We are declaring a week-long fast for God’s PROTECTION for his people. Our fast will begin on Monday, April 6th and will end on Sunday, April 12th (Resurrection Sunday/Easter).
We will follow guidelines for the Esther Fast from the book “Fasting for Spiritual Breakthrough.” Our purpose in fasting is for God’s protection and the preservation of His people.
If you are able, throughout this week:
1. Do not eat anything until 3:00 p.m. *You can drink water or tea (no sugar).
2. Pray throughout the day for God’s protection for His people. We are praying especially for our doctors, nurses, NYPD, FDNY–all first responders and essential workers.
3. Read the entire book of Esther. Please focus on chapters 4-9. Look for Bible verses on God’s protection. *You can do a Google search for specific verses on protection.
4. Sing songs of PROTECTION and VICTORY.
5. Join us for our 12:00 p.m. Prayer Conference Call:(717) 275-8941, Code: 6194013
6. Call or text others throughout the day and encourage them to be strong.
Beraca Family, please join us in seeking God’s face during this time of crisis. Let us continue to be united. May we strengthen our unity, walk in love and service, and keep our morale high.
Be blessed,
Pastor Mullery Jean-Pierre
Senior Pastor
